SINGAPORE - HDB has launched 12,411 flats
for sale in its largest sale exercise.
Up for grabs are 7,061 Build-To-Order (BTO)
flats and 5,350 balance flats, HDB said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 17).
The BTO flats include 2,139 units in
Bidadari. The rest of the BTO flats are in Choa Chu Kang, Sengkang, Bukit
Batok, Hougang and Punggol.
HDB said that this sales launch will allow
more people to benefit from new policies announced in August - including the
2-room Flexi Scheme, increase in income ceilings and enhancements to the
Special CPF Housing Grant (SHG), which will be implemented from this sales
launch.
A total of 2,093 2-room Flexi flats will be
put up for sale as part of the BTO exercise. These flats will be in Bidadari,
Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Punggol and Sengkang.
The 5,350 balance flats comprise 1,218
2-room Flexi flats, 1,064 3-room units, 2,062 4-room units, 959 5-room units,
36 3Gen units and 11 executive flats. The majority of these are reserved for
first-timer families, HDB said.
With this launch, the HDB said it has met
its commitment to launch 15,000 BTO flats this year. The total BTO supply for
the year is 15,100 units. It said that it has offered for sale a total of
25,837 flats in the year 2015.
Applications for the flat can be submitted
up to Nov 26.
HDB has advised the public to get details
about the flats online.
Applicants are also urged to apply for BTO
flats in non-mature estates to get a better chance.
